Fully managed IT
Fully managed means the whole of your technology is someone else's job. Not a person in the office who is good with computers and has absorbed the role by accident, and not a number you call once something has already stopped. Updates, backups, security configuration, new starters, failing hardware and the awkward vendor phone calls all sit with us.
It fits a business of roughly five to fifty people that depends on its systems working but cannot justify a salaried IT hire. Below that size, the honest answer is usually still break-fix, and we will say so.
What you actually hand over
Patching and updates on a schedule. Backups that are verified by restoring from them rather than by reading a log that says success. Endpoint protection that is configured rather than merely purchased. Accounts created for new hires and, more importantly, removed for departures. Hardware watched for the early signs — a disk that is failing usually announces it for weeks first.
Plus the part that has no name: being the person who already knows how your systems fit together, so nobody has to explain the setup from scratch during an outage.
- Scheduled patching for operating systems and the software you depend on
- Backups tested by restore, not assumed from a status page
- Account setup and, critically, account removal
- Endpoint protection configured to your actual working patterns
- One number to call, answered by someone who knows your network
What stays yours
Decisions and money. We recommend, you approve, and we do not sign your business up for anything. Licences are bought in your name and stay in your name, so if you ever leave you take them with you rather than discovering they were rented through us.
Administrative credentials are yours too. A managed IT relationship where the provider is the only one holding the keys is a bad arrangement for you and we do not set them up that way.
When fully managed is the wrong fit
If there are three of you, your systems are two laptops and a cloud accounting package, and nothing you do stops when a machine does — you do not need this. Call us when something breaks and pay for that instead.
If you already employ someone technical, the arrangement you probably want is co-managed, where we take the specialist and out-of-hours load and they keep the daily relationship with your staff.
Common questions
What happens if we want to leave?
You take your licences, your data and your administrative credentials, because all three were in your name throughout. We will hand over documentation of how the setup works to whoever comes next. There is no exit fee and nothing is engineered to make leaving difficult.
Do you need to be on site?
Most of it is remote, which is why it can be watched continuously rather than during visits. On-site is for the things that genuinely need hands — cabling, hardware swaps, a new office. We are in North Brunswick, so on-site nearby is a short drive rather than a project.
No obligation
Talk it through first
Tell us what's happening and we'll give you an honest read on what it needs — including if that turns out to be nothing. We work across Middlesex, Somerset, and Mercer County.
