About us

A local IT company, not a call centre

Medina Tech Solutions is based in North Brunswick, New Jersey. We look after the technology for small businesses and households across Middlesex, Somerset, and Mercer County — the networks, the computers, the backups, and the things that stop working at inconvenient moments.

Who you'll be dealing with

Medina Tech Solutions opened in 2024, but the work behind it goes back to 2019. That's 7 years of supporting technology across the whole range — corporate and small-office environments, warehouses and back-of-house setups, and a great deal of residential work.

That breadth matters more than it might sound. A converted downtown office, a warehouse with metal racking, and a two-storey house each fail in completely different ways, and having worked in all three is what makes the first ten minutes of a diagnosis quick. It's also why the pages for each town describe genuinely different problems rather than the same list with the name swapped.

We're a small team — a handful of technicians, not a call centre. You get the same people each time and they already know your setup. In exchange, we're not a round-the-clock help desk, and we say so plainly on the how we work page rather than discovering it together later.

Why the business exists

Because getting straightforward help had stopped being straightforward. Local businesses and households were going through an absurd number of hoops for problems that should have taken one conversation — phone trees, ticket numbers, being handed between three people who each ask the same questions from the beginning, minimum contract sizes written for companies ten times their size, and waits measured in days for something that takes twenty minutes.

Staying small is what makes the alternative possible. There's no first-line script here, no queue to escalate out of, and nobody sitting between you and the person who will actually do the work. You describe the problem to someone who can fix it, and that person turns up.

What we actually do

The core of it is unglamorous and it's most of the work: computer repair and upgrades, Wi-Fi and network setup, backups that have actually been tested, security that's configured rather than just purchased, new device setup, printers, and the office IT that nobody wants to own.

Alongside that we do AI consulting and custom software — practical automation, internal tools, and integrations for businesses ready for it. It's there when it genuinely saves you time, and it isn't something we'll push on you. Reliable IT is the foundation and always will be.

Where we work

We're a service-area business, which means we come to you rather than running a walk-in shop. That's also why you won't find a street address published — Google lists us by the area we cover instead. We work on-site across 9 towns in Middlesex, Somerset, and Mercer County:

What we believe, and how you can check it

Technology should be explained in words you can act on, and you shouldn't have to take an IT company's word for what you need. Plenty of firms say something like that. The difference is whether it survives contact with a situation where honesty costs them money — telling you a five-year-old computer needs a forty-dollar part rather than replacing, or that the problem is your internet provider and there's nothing to sell you.

The free tools on this site are the same idea. They run without a sign-up or an email address, they give you the whole report rather than holding the useful half back, and each one tells you plainly what it can't determine. That last part is the tell: a tool built to generate alarm doesn't volunteer its own blind spots.
